Hayden Panettiere was pictured looking dowdy in a tea cosy style hat, a cardigan and Ugg boots
Posted on August 16th, 2010 No commentsJust ask Hayden Panettiere, the actress recently dyed her blonde locks an auburn colour and now appears Classic Mini UGG Boots to have mustered up a dowdy look to go with it.

The 23-year-old Heroes actress stepped out in Beverly Hills wearing a wooly hat that resembled a tea cosy teamed with a white cardigan, plain jeans and a pair of Ugg boots UK.
It seems as though a new hair colour can not only change the way you look but it can also change your personal style.
She appeared a little down in the mouth too, after being separated from her new boyfriend boxer Wladimir Klitschko. -
UGG Women’s Classic Short Black Boots 5825 Customer Reviews
Posted on August 3rd, 2010 No commentsAs recommended by the manufacturer, you should size down. I wear a size 8 tennis shoe and a size 8 Classic Argyle Knit UGG Boots is way too big. However, I kept them because they seemed impossible to exchange as they are so popular right now.
Because they are a little big, I wear thick socks with them and it makes up for the size (incase they are sold out in your size and you really would like them). The only problem besides having to wear thick socks with them is they seem a little wide and bulky. But it’s a small price to pay for how comfortable they are, definitely worth the price.
I bought these shoes in a light pink in the summer and I haven’t taken them off since. They are versitile, comfortable, warm and ideal for walking long distances and shopping.
Just before buying them I’d been wearing strappy sandles and heals for 10-14 hours/day. After showing up for a peddicure with scabs and scars all over my poor feet, my nail lady told me to try some Classic Cardy Boots UGG Boots. So I did. My feet have healed, they are well insulated and stay moisturized because of the thick lining.

The uggs are so comfortable, infact, that they have inspired me to walk to work–1.5miles each way. How many shoes can you say that about? There is no break-in period, and they feel like you are wearing nice slippers in public.
I don’t worry about walking on ice in them because there isn’t a heel to twist an ankle on, and there is plenty of traction. Better than docs for the bad weather, actually, because the soles don’t freeze and they keep your feet PLENTY warm.
There are only three drawbacks: the suede–I didn’t treat it quick enough and now the water marks show from walking in the snow; and the casualness of them. As soon as I find uggs boots in something that works with a suit I’m set for life! In the meantime, I wear them to walk to work, change shoes in my office, and then switch back into them if I know I’m not going to meetings for a while. The third is the height, while I like the shorter boot for under jeans, it isn’t something that would look OK with anything else, and certainly looks goofy by itself.
These shoes are in my main closet with the rest of the shoes I will never part with–my docs and birks. They belong in that elite shoe category of classic, comfortable and well made. I can’t wait to get another pair.
Uggs are the best boots for fall and winter. They have a great history of being perfect for ski resorts or other snowy settings. They have a good reputation based on their years being made in New Zealand. But they aren’t made there anymore, they’re made in china, and the difference is dramatic. While the Chinese Uggs are nice boots, they are nowhere as well made and the leather and fleece is much cheaper that it was during Uggs’ better days.

Alexander McQueen Rhinestone Peep Toe Shoes
Posted on June 17th, 2010 No comments
In the spirit of the holidays, ELLE Magazine is running a ’12 Days of Chic’ campaign throughout the month of December. They have selected twelve hot items which can be purchased through the ELLE StyleFeeder site, with 50% of all proceeds going to the Fashion Delivers Charitable Foundation. One of the 12 items is a pair of Alexander McQueen rhinestone peep toe shoes ($935). Normally, when I think of white satin sandals, I think serious and feminine (i.e. weddings) but the black rhinestone details are a complete contrast to the white and give the shoes a more hard core vibe. -
The Deceptive Simplicity of Versace
Posted on June 17th, 2010 No comments
These heels look like simple black affairs until you see the gold patterned platform. They are lovely and versatile and not too flashy. You can purchase them at the Versace boutique. I did not ask for a price.I find it somehow comforting, instead of disconcerting, that the shoes don’t exactly fit the mannequin either! Hah!
These dresses are so classically beautiful and deceptively simple, as are the shoes that go with them.

Browse Jean-Michel Cazabat at ShopStyle. Many of his shoes are available there through Bluefly.A number of Cazabat shoes are available at Barneys Co-op.
Jean-Michel Cazabat, a former buyer and creative director for Charles Jourdan, has a huge celebrity following and makes what he calls “colorful, ultra-feminine” shoes with “fiery colors, flirty silhouettes, whimsical details and exotic skins.” But then, he also calls bondage an inspiration. (First time we ever heard that!)

Christian Louboutin Resort 2010 Shoes
Posted on June 16th, 2010 No comments
Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for Louboutin’s flat sandals, which I’ve never been a fan of.I’ve never been a fan of canvas/burlap but I might make an exception for the Louboutin gris mule.
How can you not love the studded PURPLE ballerinas!
Christian Louboutin’s Resort 2010 Shoes just perked up this shoeblogger’s rainy day. My favorite eye candy is this gilded pattern seen on the classic Louboutin Titi pump. Magnifique!

American Apparel’s Racy Leggings
Posted on June 16th, 2010 No comments
I would pair most of the American Apparel legwear with demure Dolce Vita heels and a sexy dress, or with a cute little pair of retro vintage boots and a simple t-shirt dress.Betsey Johnson also makes great knee socks. More reports on those and my other new favorite legwear in a future post.
The Sheer Luxe Solid Stripe is nice too. They’re $26 though, and that’s a bit steep for pantyhose for me.
I’ve been noticing a lot of my girlfriends wearing interesting leggings, stockings, tights and whatnot lately. They frequent everywhere from Filene’s to Wolford for them, but this here mama can’t afford any Wolford right now. There’s no doubt though, that legwear is very sexy and can totally change an outfit, and especially pair well with certain shoes.
So I’ve been looking at the American Apparel website; my friends shop at the store like addicts. I’m reading an interesting book by William Gibson called “Pattern Recognition,” where the protagonist resists all labels, emblems and signs of her clothes being corporate. She even has someone grind down the buttons on her Levi’s 501s so there is no evidence of the brand. American Apparel is a little like that, with its lack of logos, but also the opposite. If you wear a gold lame bikini in a certain cut and you live in Williamsburg, everyone knows you got it at American Apparel.
The tights are actually pretty cool, but I wonder if their photos of gals in tights are just a little bit too racy.
(Beware, some of the American Apparel photos on their website are NSFW! I didn’t post those ones!)
The Super Sheer Spiral Tights are $14.
